A History of For-Profit Healthcare Provision

Drawing on decades of journalistic experience covering many of the leading players in America’s massive commercial healthcare industry, I intend to give a thorough, just-the-facts account of a business that some observers celebrate for its entrepreneurial innovation while others believe it should not exist at all.

Status: Extensive archival research done, yielding many discoveries. Interviews underway with leading industry figures. I am working full-time on this project throughout 2011.
